Rodrigo Crespo

Rodrigo is an economist with experience in sustainability, environmental management, and collective action initiatives. He is interested in complex problem-solving, and in developing strategies and solutions based on robust statistical analysis and tools.

For the last seven years he was the director of the Environmental Fund of Monterrey (FAMM), where he was responsible for the development of the 2050 Water Plan for the State of Nuevo Leon, an Energy Audit for Monterrey’s water utility, and a statistical analysis of Monterrey’s air quality monitoring system.

Through his position at FAMM, Rodrigo oversaw investments to water-offset Heineken’s and Arca Continental’s plants in Monterrey. He participated in the environmental governance in Nuevo Leon as a member of the Rio Bravo Basin Council, Technical Committee of Monterrey Water and Drainage Services, Cumbres de Monterrey National Park Council, and Environmental Commission of Consejo Nuevo Leon.

Between 2011 and 2014, Rodrigo worked at FEMSA Foundation as head of Watershed Conservation, where he was a portfolio manager for the Latin American Water Fund Partnership’s initiatives, and member of the Alliance for Water Stewardship – Latin America and the Caribbean (AWS-LAC).
